Create an Autodesk education account and download AutoCAD 2023 from https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/autocad. Ensure you record the activation code from the Activation tab to enter later in the software installation process.
MME Computer Lab: The AutoCAD software is installed on the computer systems within the MME computer lab (Holden Hall 221) .
Download the AutodeskDownloadManager_webinstall.exe installer file.
Right-click on the installer, select Run as administrator, under the Download Manager Installation window, select Install, check the radio button I agree, then select Next.
For the Data collection and use window, select OK.
For the Save Download window, use the default folder location of C:\Autodesk, unless you have limited hard drive space, select the appropriate drive, then select OK.
From the Autodesk Download Manager window, select Install.
From the AUTODESK AUTOCAD 2023 window, select Install.
From the License Agreement window, click the radio button labeled I accept, then select Next.
From the Configure Installation window, select Install.
Form the Installation Complete window, select Launch.
Upon the first startup of AutoCAD, a Let's Get Started window should appear, towards the bottom of the window, click on enter a serial number link provided during the download process.
From the Autodesk Privacy Statement window, select I Agree.
From the Product License Activation window, select Activate.
From the Enter Serial Number and Product Key window, enter your serial number with a format like NNN-NNNNNNNN, and select Next.
The window message should display Activated License Found, select Finish.
Close AutoCAD software and reopen, then close again to install the Carlson 2023 software.
